No matter how hard Facebook tries, its Instagram
Stories and Messenger Days can’t seem to
dethrone the original Snapchat app in the US. But
in emerging markets, Facebook still has an
opportunity to become leader.
Facebook has released a new app that could as
well be called a complete Snapchat clone. The
new app called
Flash was released on the 9th of
November , but for some reasons, it’s only
available in Brazil for now. It appears Facebook
aims to directly compete with Snapchat with this
app since it wasn’t able to acquirethe
company and now, Facebook is out to copy and
kill Snapchat.
The new app does exactly what Snapchat does
with lenses and the interface looks like a direct
copy.
How to get Flash by
Facebook outside
Brazil
As mentioned earlier, Flash is only available in
Brazil for now, but the APK file is now all over
the internet.
To install, you can grab it from APK
Mirror and install. To be able to install it
successfully, just remember to enable installation
from “unknown sources” from your device
settings.
If you’ve been using Snapchat, you should have
no problem using this Snapchat clone.
It prompts
you to login with Facebook when you start it and
the user interface is self explanatory.
To the right
is “Your Story,” a chat screen on the left and the
camera button in the middle.
It comes with several “masks” you can apply to
your selfies and a lot of them are quite comical.
For now, it’s unclear when Facebook plans to
launch this app globally but Facebook is sending
a clear message: It is out to destroy Snapchat
since an acquisition didn’t work out.
